Riding camps at Holly Hill are always a huge hit with the kids. Children between the ages of 7-14 will learn to ride, groom and basic horsemanship skills in a safe and fun environment.
Camp activities begin at 9:00 am and end at 4:00 pm, (drop off anytime after 8:30 am and pick up before 4:30 pm). The campers will ride twice every day with a morning formal lesson, and an afternoon “pony game” which could include mounted games, bareback, trail riding etc.
In addition to "pony fun", our campers will enjoy other camp activities such as arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, games and nature hikes.
All of our saddles are equipped with safety stirrups, and we offer ASTM safety approved helmets to lend during our camp. All campers are required to have their own riding pants (breeches, jodphurs or leggings) and paddock boots, or equivalent boots with a small heel.
Campers are required to bring their lunch, a refillable water bottle, snacks and a change of clothes (shorts, running shoes). Our lounge has a fridge and microwave and washroom for the campers to use.
On the last day of camp, at 2:00pm, the children will perform a riding demonstration for their parents, and friends to enjoy, – don’t forget your camera!
